Emily Nudd Mitchell:

After studying at Emile Cohl Art School, she boards on a boat to Middle-East and brings back beautiful travel notebooks published in Spain : "This young traveller illustrates the road with her watercolors !" dixit her spanish publisher. The book is nominated for awards in France ( International IFAV, Clermont Ferrand) and Spain (Premio Ruta del Cid).

She settles in Madrid (Spain), keeping her notebook : each sketch allows her to meet people, places, events. Inspiration of her illustrations, these moments create new exchanges when she presents her books. She also transmits her art hosting workshops, above all in Spain with the French Embassy. Meanwhile, she illustrates books nominated for awards at the Paris children bookfair and get a label from Education French Minister.

Invited by Clara Marta from the Aragon University (Spain), she displays a lecture and hosts workshops for professional drawers at the artistic event "De vuelta con el cuaderno". She discovers the energy of drawing in a sketchers group, which she now shares in the organisation Urban Sketchers

Back to France, she takes part of two fantastic artistic projects : teaching urban sketching and characters drawing at Professional Art School Ecohlcité  in Lyon, and the blog of Urban Sketchers France.

She enjoys her three passions : writing and drawing, passing on and exchanging about drawing, and visiting her family around the world.
